Notifications Snooze

Email notifications can be essential during working hours, but in the event of an important meeting or downtime from the frenetic digital world, everyone needs some time off. This is why ProtonMail now offers the option of choosing to instantly snooze or schedule to snooze your notifications at a given time of the day, with the possibility of repeating this action automatically.

Scheduling notifications snooze allows you to choose the hours interval and days in which notification will automatically be disabled. Manually snoozing notifications allows you to disable and re-enable notifications on the go.

When snooze is in effect, your ProtonMail app notifications are turned off until scheduled or manual snooze is switched off and notifications are turned back on.

Our best wishes,
The ProtonMail team

  • Really love the new snooze! I had to disable Wifi to stop being disturbed by night, which i sometimes forgot to enable again at morning which again sometimes led to me not respond to emails in time, so as you get this new function is a hugely appreciated one!
Also noticed that I was not required to set it up, it was enabled for me with some sane defaults already. Huge THANKS to the devs for your awesome work! ♡

      • Thanks! Is it planned in the short term (days, 2/3weeks) or medium to long (3 weeks to months)? I am use the Google inbox snooze feature constantly, and I am looking forward doing the full switch.
Also will it allow to set up self standing reminders, or it has to be attached to a email?

  • Hello,
first of all thanks for your great work.
Now, how can someone set the app to use the .onion login? Does the app connect automatically there if i use Orbot?

  • how about snooze for individual emails like how google inbox works. you can snooze an email so it will send it back to you in X days.

  • All of this is fine but I am really waiting more for a couple of alternative themes for Android OR the possibility to modify look & feel myself like on the web UI. Current theme is simply to one-colored and the difference between read and unread messages or highlighting who they came from to neutral. Doesn´t have to be completely overboard a la Google but e.g. blue for unread and black for read so that there is some bigger difference.
