Configuring the Bridge to work with Outlook 2010 can be done in a few steps, outlined below:
This guide is optimized for desktop devices. Images and guide controls may not load properly on smaller screens.
1. Add Account
2. Manual Configuration
3. Internet E-mail
4. Bridge Details
5. Outgoing Server
7. Security Certificate
10. Account Settings
11. More Settings
12. Sent Items
13. Deleted Items
14. Addresses 1
15. Addresses 2
First open the application and navigate to the File tab, then click the Add Account button.
Next, select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types option and click Next.
Select the Internet E-mail option and then click Next
Enter all of the account details from the Bridge and then click More Settings.... Note: The password you must use is automatically generated from the bridge. Do not use your Login or Mailbox password.
The password generated by the Bridge app can be found by by clicking on Mailbox configuration under your account username.
Navigate to the Outgoing Server tab, check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication option, choose Log on using and enter the same User Name and Password (from the bridge) information you entered earlier.
Navigate to the Advanced tab and enter the Server information from the bridge. Make sure the encrypted connection type is TLS for both options and the ports are set correctly as 1143 for IMAP and 1025 for SMTP. When everything is entered click Ok.
Click Next and Outlook will run some tests to make sure everything works. If you get prompted to accept a Security Certificate click Yes.
If all of the tests succeed, your screen should look like this.
You've now successfully added your account, but we still need to change some settings.
Go to your Account Settings page (File -> Account Settings) and select your account by double clicking on it
Click More Settings on the Change Account page and navigate to the Sent Items tab
Make sure to select Do not save copies of sent items. The bridge will copy items into your Sent folder automatically when sent successfully.
Navigate to the Deleted Items tab. Select the Move deleted items to the following folder on the server option and select the Trash folder. Also check the box entitled Purge items when switching folders while online.
Note: In separate addresses mode every IMAP account that you set up with the Bridge is address-specific, and will only be able to send/receive emails from the address it is set up with. You can add any number of addresses to Outlook but wait for one address to download before adding another.
Note: In combined address mode Outlook has no way to add the other addresses to send with.
