How to clean cache and cookies

Browsers try to speed up your web browsing experience by saving images and other web page data that it thinks is unlikely to change between visits.

Cookies are small files that websites leave on your computer. They often perform useful functions such as knowing that you visited the site before and remembering your preferences for that site, but can also be used to track visitors access web sites.

Both the browser cache and cookies can cause minor issues when using ProtonMail (for example, by pulling data from the cache instead of from an updated web page).  These minor issues can often be fixed by clearing the cache and deleting cookies.

In this article, we show you how this is done for all major browsers.

I don’t mind a few hoops but I don’t want to clear my history or go through this every time I get a non essential email.

The problem of getting negative feedback to correct login data appears to be inherent to Protonmail

clearing the … as above didn’t work. Get to your site, hit the “Sign Up” link, and I get the same screen with no access to anything allowing me to sign up. Go to Create an Account, hit Sign Up, and again back to that same screen. It’s been 3 days now with the same result.

I just opened an account. I set my username and password. When I try to login, the system does not recognize my credentials. I’ve cleared my data cache and I’ve tried an older version of Protonmail, but I’ve been unsuccessful at logging in. I’m not sure what to try next…?
