Mobile Applications (iOS & Android) Beta

While our apps can be downloaded for free from the iOS and Android stores, we will continue to release new versions earlier to Beta program members. New features, advanced performance optimizations, and cutting-edge encryption improvements will be exclusively released to Beta users before their public release.

This article explains the steps to join ProtonMail Beta on your desktop and on the Android and iOS apps.

How to use ProtonMail beta on desktop

It’s extremely simple to use the ProtonMail beta program in the web app. Simply go to and log into your ProtonMail account.

How to join ProtonMail beta on Android

To use the ProtonMail beta on your Android device, go to the ProtonMail app in Google Play. Scroll down to the section called “Become a beta tester” and tap on “Join now”.

How to join ProtonMail beta on iOS

To use the ProtonMail beta on iOS, follow the steps below:

  1. Install the TestFlight app on your device
  2. Follow this invitation link
  3. Once the TestFlight confirmation appears, tap on Accept
  4. Install the latest beta available in the TestFlight app

To see these steps in detail, see our guide on joining ProtonMail beta on iOS. Please note that only a limited number of TestFlight spots are available, so we reserve the right to remove you from the testing pool if you aren’t actively using the latest version of the app.

I have tested on my android phone LG Magna and it worked very well. Installing was smooth and fast but i noticed one important thing that i can’t change signature on/off option because it requires “protonmail plus” that i can’t understand because i already paid for this mobile app.

I accidentally revoked mobile on the Security Platform. How do I restore my iPhone Protonmail? so I can use my iPhone

  32. ProtonMail Support

Revoking a session simply logs you out and closes that session. All you have to do is log in again to the ProtonMail app on your phone with your username and password.
