Proton Drive, now in beta, is our new end-to-end encrypted cloud storage service. To thank our users who enable us to pursue our mission of building an internet that puts users first, we are giving beta access to all Proton users with paid accounts. This includes users with:
- Lifetime plans
- Visionary plans
- ProtonMail Professional plans
- ProtonMail Plus plans
- ProtonVPN Basic or Plus plans
If you are currently subscribed to one of these plans
You do not need to take any action; you can now use Proton Drive beta.
If you are not currently subscribed to one of these plans
If you are not subscribed to any paid plans but still want to get beta access to Proton Drive, you can subscribe or upgrade to a ProtonMail paid plan. This will automatically give you access to the Proton Drive beta.

Frequently asked questions
Proton Drive beta is currently included as part of your paid plan. We will announce the final pricing at a later date. This will not affect prices for standard plans.
Currently, Proton Drive storage is shared with your ProtonMail account. For example, if you have a ProtonMail Plus account with a base storage of 5 GB, this same 5 GB will be shared with Proton Drive.
It is not possible to add storage specifically for Proton Drive at the moment. You can, however, add storage to your ProtonMail account, which will be shared with Proton Drive.
To do this, in the web app go to Settings → Dashboard → Customize subscription.
We plan to release Proton Drive apps for all major platforms. For the moment, you can access the Proton Drive web app on your mobile device using a browser.
