ProtonMail BETA v1.07 Release Notes

We are happy to announce the release of ProtonMail v1.07. As usual, please completely clear your browser cache to make sure you load the latest version of ProtonMail.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where using certain display names could result in a HTTP 500 error being thrown when attempting to view the inbox [contributed by John Whelan, SalesForce]

New Features

  • It is now possible to change the mailbox password.
  • The monthly message limit on all accounts has been increased to 1000.
  • Inbox menu layout optimized.

Known Issues

  • Multiple attachments not properly supported.
  • Mobile and Tablet not yet fully supported.
  • Attachments are not encrypted.

Security Fixes

  • XSS in the request invite page triggered by ‘>()’. Impacted versions: <=1.05 [contributed by Maxim Rupp,]

  • I have a question as to setting up my iphone to recieve my protonmail. What are the settings for incoming and outgoing mail?

    • This feature is not yet supported, but we are working now on creating ProtonMail mobile applications for iOS and Android.

    • JUNE, until time you can simply sign into your ProtonMail account using Mobile Safari then adding that page to your home screen thus giving you instant access to your ProtonMail.

      I personally can’t wait until I can use Dispatch with ProtonMail. Dispatch is by far the best email client on iOS.

    • We’re developing iOS and Android apps for ProtonMail and we are planning to release them in the coming months.
