2. Add Account
Once the Bridge is downloaded and installed, you will need to add your ProtonMail account to the Bridge. The following guide will walk you through these steps:

Once the Bridge is running, add your ProtonMail account(s) by clicking the Add Account
button.
Enter your Username
, Login Password
, and optionally your 2FA code
(if enabled) and Mailbox Password
(if in 2-password mode) and click Next
on the corresponding screens.
Now your account is successfully connected to the Bridge. By default, you will be in combined addresses mode, which means that emails from all of your addresses will be sent and received together in the same mailbox. You can click on Mailbox configuration
to access the Bridge credentials for your mailbox.
If you would like to switch to split addresses mode, in which each address is added to the client separately, click Switch to split addresses mode
. In split addresses mode you can click on Address configuration
to access your Bridge credentials for each of your addresses.
You will use these credentials to configure your email client (Thunderbird, Outlook, etc) later on.
You can click Log out
to disable sending / receiving of new email. Your existing emails will still be stored in your client. If you are logged out, which can also happen if you change your password, you can click Log in
to connect your account again.
