1. Go to settings by opening the menu on the left side of your screen.
2. Select your account

You cannot remove or disable your ProtonMail address. You can change your default sending address as described in this article in the mobile apps, or by going to Settings > Name/Signature in the web client.

I’ve done this and it works for messages I compose, but when I reply to messages it always uses the non-default (xxx@protonmail.com) rather than the default address (kylo@kylo.net). What am I missing?

The address populating the From field when replying should be the same as the one that has received the message. Please contact our support team at contact@protonmail.ch, via the report bug button or using the support form at https://protonmail.com/support-form if that is not the case.

Hi Kylo, I had the same problem. Through the Protonmail Support I discovered that my MX-settings were not set up correctly in my webhost. The only MX records on the host should be “mail.protonmail.ch” and “mailsec.protonmail.ch” with the priority 10 and 20 respectively in order. This helped me get it working within minutes :)
Hope this helps!
